1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Indian Occean Limited website and the services we provide. By using our website or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Indian Occean Limited is a company registered in England and Wales. References to "we", "us", or "our" throughout these Terms mean Indian Occean Limited.

These Terms were last updated in January 2025 and apply to all services provided from that date forward.

2. Our Services

Indian Occean Limited provides the following non-regulated support and coordination services:

• Student Arrival Package: Pre-arrival guidance, airport coordination, local orientation, and welcome support for international students
• Accommodation Assistance: Property search support, viewing coordination, and landlord communication assistance — not estate agency services
• Airport Transfer Coordination: Coordination of transportation from UK airports via third-party drivers — we are a coordination service, not a transport operator
• Relocation Package: UK settlement guidance, area orientation, and utility setup coordination
• Translation Services: Coordination of document translation and interpreter services via our partner network
• Tourist Assistance Package: Travel planning support, local recommendations, and trip coordination for visitors to the UK

All services are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline a service request where we are unable to meet requirements to an appropriate standard.

3. Booking and Payment

Booking confirmation: A booking is confirmed only when we send you a written confirmation (by email or WhatsApp). Payment receipt alone does not constitute a confirmed booking.

Pricing: All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change; the price applicable to your service is that confirmed at the time of booking.

Payment methods: We accept payment by bank transfer (BACS) and card payment via Stripe. Full payment is required before service commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Bank transfer: When paying by bank transfer, please use your unique order reference number. Payment must be received and cleared before your service begins.

Third-party costs: Some services involve coordination of third-party providers. Any costs charged directly by those providers (e.g., driver fees, translation fees) are separate from and in addition to our coordination fee, unless explicitly stated as inclusive in your booking confirmation.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• More than 7 days before service commencement: Full refund, less a £25 administration fee
• 3–7 days before service commencement: 50% refund
• Less than 3 days before service commencement: No refund, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion
• No-show: No refund

To cancel a booking, contact us immediately by email at info@occeanindian.com or WhatsApp +44-7827-094186 with your booking reference. Cancellation is effective from the date and time we receive written notification.

Our cancellation of services: If we are unable to provide a service due to circumstances within our control, we will offer a full refund or alternative arrangement. We are not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

5. Our Responsibilities

Indian Occean Limited will:

• Provide the services described in your booking confirmation to a reasonable standard of care and skill
• Communicate clearly and promptly regarding your service
• Handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR
• Coordinate third-party service providers in good faith, selecting those we believe to be competent and reliable

We act as a coordination and support intermediary. We are not the direct provider of transport, translation, accommodation, or legal services. The ultimate responsibility for these third-party services lies with those third-party providers.

6. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when booking and using our services
• Notify us promptly of any changes to your arrangements (travel dates, flight details, accommodation, etc.)
• Ensure you hold appropriate immigration permission to be in the UK
• Not use our services for any unlawful purpose
• Treat our staff and partner providers with respect
• Make payment in full before your service begins

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• Our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for that specific service
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses
• We are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers we coordinate on your behalf
• We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to obtain appropriate immigration clearance, documentation, or legal advice

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Indian Occean Limited website — including text, design, logos, images, and graphics — is the property of Indian Occean Limited or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without our prior written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer and reside in another UK nation, you may also have rights under Scottish, Northern Irish, or Welsh law that these Terms do not affect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.
